The importance and necessity of English language learning
First: The importance of English language:
A – English language has become the First World and the most widespread in the world.
B – English is the language of the modern era.
C – English language science and technology and scientific research.
E – English Language economy and e-commerce and aviation.
And – the English language and computer language study at universities and institutes.
G – English Language tourism and travel.
Second: the necessities of learning the English language:
A – English is necessary and the process must be learned independently of those spoken admiration.
B – became the king of English spoken and used regardless of their nationality.
C – to learn English does not contradict any logic for being responsive to the needs of many.
D English way of thinking as a means of communication with others and become acquainted with the culture is a key foreign culture.
E – The foreign English language proficiency as a kind of intelligence is the only linguistic intelligence.
And – English constitute a significant addition to individual mental stocks.
G – language is a tool communication between peoples and cultures is owned owns this tool can contact with others and receiving from others and influence in other cultures.
H learning English will help us in responding to the challenges of the world and technological knowledge that the invasion of our home in the era of globalization and universality of culture.
* Third: the benefits of learning the English language:
A – responding to distortion campaigns through the use of language.
B – to refute the erroneous ideas and misconceptions about Arabs and Arab-Islamic culture.
C – take advantage of the English language in the dissemination of the Islamic religion and Islamic Arab culture.
D learning English helps in the upbringing of a good citizen who defends the values and ideals of his nation and religion.
IV: obstacles to learning English:
These obstacles can be divided into the following groups:
A – psychological obstacles: These belong to the nature of human life and enter into the scope of prior outlook towards the language and misconceptions about learning a foreign language.
B – administrative obstacles: the lack of money and impeding the administration of learning through plans incomplete and ineffective.
C – technical obstacles: contains shortcomings in the curriculum and aspects of the language itself and their differences on the mother tongue.
E – impediments to the public education system:
These are constraints on several things including:
Lack of clear objectives to the learner and teacher and parents.
And a seminar burdens and a more active methodology does not overburden the teacher and limit its role in the achievement of objectives.
Traditional teaching methods are inconsistent with the concept and nature of modern learning.
Loss of motivation among students and lack of *****ness because of fatigue or revulsion and other reasons.
Lack of understanding of pupils of exercises and activities.
* Fifth: the role expected of the students to overcome difficulties in learning the English language:
A – breaking the psychological barrier of fear of language and a style openness with the teacher and parents.
B – self-reliance in learning English milestone for the unit is unable to so if students failed their roles assigned to them.
C – time to study the distribution and utilization of time in a positive and useful.
D – intellectual and practical preparation in advance.
E – Trying to learn the tradition of skill and not just listen and Trilling.
And – strings and generate ideas and this is one of the secrets of learning a foreign language.
* Sixth: the role expected of teachers to overcome difficulties in learning the English language:
A – show Albchoc face and the spirit of humour and patience by the teacher.
B – recruitment of human skills in positive learning.
C – use modern teaching aids in all its forms and works Hawass all learner.
D granulated language learner through the exercise of language and enjoy creating things and realism of actual use.
E – providing an atmosphere of departure and spontaneous learning in language and instill confidence in the same learner through notified its significance and importance of actual participation in it.
* Seventh: the best way to learn the English language:
These are some proposals that help students to learn the language:
A – gain a minimum of words and vocabulary of the importance of wealth in language learning.
B a modern learning theories that focus on the student and interactive important factor in the educational process and not passive listeners, because learning is based on the learner is essential.
C – to encourage students to acquire and use language dictionaries that are in harmony with each phase age.
D – the exploitation of school activities such as radio, magazines, pamphlets wall.
E – Encourage students to use spontaneous automatic use of the language and in the context of a real and realistic.
And – the use of electronic mail and means of educational and technological era such as the Internet.
G – exposing students to the language outside the classroom by providing them with various tapes and encourage them to use language in the aspects of life in a real and realistic and pragmatic, including the statement that translates the language medium of communication and communication with others, as any language is not an end in itself but a means of communication and purposeful social construction.

في عصر أصبحت فيه اللغة الانجليزية هي السائدة في جميع أنحاء العالم، وهي اللغة المهيمنة على جميع المجالات، يتساءل الكثير من الآباء وغيرهم من المثقفين عن السن المناسبة للبدء في تعليم أبنائهم اللغة الإنجليزية،
وهل يخاطبون أبناءهم في المنزل باللغة الإنجليزية في سن مبكرة؟
وهل يضعون أبناءهم في روضة تعلمهم اللغة الإنجليزية فقط؟
وما تأثير تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية للأطفال في مرحلة الروضة على تعلمهم للغة العربية، وفي تحصيلهم في المراحل الدراسية اللاحقة؟
لا شك أن اللغة الإنجليزية هي أكثر اللغات انتشاراً في العالم. إذ أن شخصاً من بين كل أربعة أشخاص في العالم يستطيع التواصل باللغة الإنجليزية. فاللغة الإنجليزية هي اللغة الرئيسة في التجمعات السياسية الدولية، وهي اللغة الرسمية لـ 85% من المنظمات العالمية.
وهي لغة الكثير من المؤتمرات الدولية، ولغة التداول الأولى في المجال التكنولوجي والتجاري والمصرفي والسياحي، ولغة غالبية الأبحاث العلمية والمراجع والمصطلحات والاقتصاد والمال والأعمال، وغالبية الصحف المشهورة وبرامج التلفزيون والأفلام وشركات الطيران والشركات المتعددة الجنسية والعمالة الأجنبية.
ولغة 90% من المادة الموجودة على الإنترنت. أولت الدراسات والبحوث اهتماماً ملحوظاً بقضية تأثير تعليم لغة ثانية على تعلم اللغة الأم، خاصة في المرحلة المبكرة من عمر الأطفال، وهذا التأثير لم يقتصر على دولنا العربية فقط، بل إن الدول المتقدمة متعددة الثقافات واللغات كالولايات المتحدة وكندا، أجرت العديد من هذه الدراسات والأبحاث لمعرفة مدى تأثر لغة الأطفال حين يتعلمون لغة ثانية غير لغتهم الأم.بالنسبة للآثار المترتبة على ازدواجية اللغة في التعليم.
فإن الدراسات التي أجريت في النصف الأول من القرن العشرين أكدت وجود ظاهرة الإعاقة اللغوية عند الأطفال الذين يتعلمون لغتين. لقد اعتمدت تلك الدراسات على مقارنة مستوى الأطفال الذين يدرسون لغة واحدة بالأطفال الذين يدرسون لغتين، ووجدت أن هؤلاء يعانون من قصور لغوي بالمقارنة مع الفئة الأولى.
أما الدراسات التي أجريت في النصف الثاني من هذا القرن عن آثار تعليم لغتين معاً فقد توصلت إلى نتيجة مفادها أن أطفال اللغة الواحدة كان أداؤهم ونتائجهم أفضل من أداء ونتائج أطفال اللغتين في القدرات الكتابية. كما أكدت هذه الأبحاث أن أطفال اللغتين يعانون بعض المصاعب والإعاقة اللغوية المرتبطة باجتهادهم من أجل التمكن والتأقلم مع نظام لغتين.
نسيان اللغة الأم
قبل سنوات عدة، أجرت الباحثة مرينو دراسة متخصصة عن ظاهرة نسيان اللغة لدى 41 طفلاً في الروضة وحتى الصف الرابع ممن يتحدثون اللغتين الإسبانية والإنجليزية، فوجدت الباحثة فروقاً بين أطفال الروضة والصفوف العليا في استخدام اللغة الإسبانية. إذ تدهور أداء الأطفال بدرجة كبيرة مع وصولهم إلى الصف الرابع، ولم يكن هناك فروق دالة بين الصفوف المختلفة في فهم اللغة الإسبانية.
واختبرت الطلبة بعد عامين، فوجدت أن قدرتهم على استخدام اللغة الإنجليزية قد تحسنت، ولكن تدهورت قدرتهم على استخدام اللغة الإسبانية. ووجدت أن الحالات الشديدة من النسيان حدثت للأطفال الذين يستخدمون اللغتين الإسبانية والإنجليزية مع المتحدث نفسه.
سن التعليم المناسبة
أظهرت نتائج الدراسة التي أجرتها الدكتورة ريما الجرف من كلية اللغات والترجمة بجامعة الملك سعود، عن السن المناسبة لتعليم الأطفال اللغة الإنجليزية، أن 70% من عينة الأمهات يرين أن السن المناسبة للبدء في تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية للأطفال هي مرحلة الروضة (أي قبل السادسة)، في حين يرى 10% من الأمهات أن السن المناسبة لذلك هي الصف الأول الابتدائي (7-9 سنوات).
ويرى 15% أن السن المناسبة هي الصف الرابع الابتدائي (10-12)، في حين يرى 5% (الفئة الرابعة) منهن أن السن المناسبة هي الصف الأول المتوسط (13-15). ويعتقد الكثير من أفراد العينة أن الأطفال في سن الرابعة والخامسة يتقبلون اللغة أكثر من الأطفال الكبار في سن العاشرة وما فوق.
مناهضون
يعتبر عالم اللغة الإنجليزي مايكل وست من أول المناهضين لتعليم اللغات الأجنبية في سن مبكرة، يليه من العالم العربي عبدالعزيز القوصي مدير مركز اليونسكو للتربية في بيروت خلال الخمسينات،الذي طالب بإلغاء اللغة الأجنبية من مناهج المرحلة الابتدائية في الدول العربية، وكان ذلك أحد الأسباب التي أدت إلى إلغائها فعلاً في مصر بعد ثورة يوليو 1952م.
لغات الاتحاد الأوروبي
يبدأ تعليم اللغات الأجنبية في الاتحاد الأوروبي في نهاية المرحلة الابتدائية أو بداية المرحلة الثانوية غالباً، ما عدا مالطا إذ يبدأ تعليم اللغة الأجنبية فيها من سن السادسة، وفنلندا من سن العاشرة.أما تعليم اللغة الإنجليزية في دول الاتحاد الأوروبي فيبدأ في المرحلة الثانوية الدنيا غالباً، وأحياناً في المرحلة الثانوية العليا، ويتعلم 93% من طلبة الاتحاد الأوروبي اللغة الإنجليزية.
بينما يتعلم 33% من الطلبة في الاتحاد الأوروبي اللغة الفرنسية، التي يبدأ تدريسها في المرحلة الثانوية الدنيا (المرحلة المتوسطة)، ويدرس اللغة الألمانية 13% من طلبة الاتحاد الأوروبي في المرحلة الثانوية الدنيا، ويدرس 20% من الطلبة اللغة الألمانية في المرحلة الثانوية العليا.
